A Possible New Bonus...

There was a lot of good information coming out of the community for Fanfest this year. I was super pleased at how many blogs, micro blogs, and round table summaries surfaced. At this rate, I'll not have to write my own notes for them at Eve Vegas this October! I can dream at least, eh?

A lot of changes are happening. How do I feel about them? Well, they are going to happen so I'd like to get elbows deep in them to see what they are actually going to do and move on from there. I'm excited for the SiSi update so that I can actually see all of this in action and more Dev blogs and posts better land.

I finally shipped down a medium tower and at some point soon I will downgrade my entire POS process. Right now I am burning fuel as if I hate my wallet. I don't hate my wallet. My POS is just not profitable at all right now.

There is this:

CCP it appears has decided to invest in kitchenware. I dub this the MLS Skillet. I believe it should have a bacon crisping bonus. Along with the Nestor aka the hand blender, I can use a Nyx as a plate and I'm all set to have a meal. However, I do hope each one comes with bandaids for the papercuts I am expecting to see. At least they are interesting. I won't call them pretty and I won't call them ugly. It's kind of how a woman is called handsome when she is striking and not unattractive but not classicaly pretty.

I will probably have to learn missile skills now.

  5. Why are you downgrading your POS? Is this in response to the industry changes or just the usual pre-summer slump?

I have similarly downgraded, but only because I am struggling to maintain enthusiasm for the current 'interface of clicks' now that I have seen the replacement in the blogs.

  7. Change of topic just a bit; I was really excited to hear the news regarding the new T2 mining frig and the valuable ore spawns in lowsec. My alts mine in Gulfonodi in Molden Heath - I know that you are very familiar with that area:-) Something tells me that we might be bumping heads later this year Sugar - I'm definitely going to go out in to lowsec (your neck of the woods) to get me some of those tasty ores, and I'm hoping you and your folks won't let me do it unmolested:-) Take care and gl on the CSM...

    1. There are 8 systems with a security status of .1 or .2 in Molden Heath, so you won't even need to wait for the new sites to spawn. Just start mining at a belt :)

  9. Actually, that's not a skillet, it's griddle: http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/331177373497?lpid=82

Also a Manta Ray, which I think was the intended parallel.

  10. I initially thought the Barghest looked like an unfriendly ping pong paddle, but I think griddle/skillet is a much better description. It does seem like you should be able to land smaller craft on its back.

It was a random question that I knew the answer of. I have 'Sugar' as a keyword so it highlights green and catches my attention. This made me chuckle. Maybe I'll have to go and see what it is like to shoot a ship one day? I could not help but smile. Basi suggested that I put my Titan killmail in my bio and assert my badassery. I figure, naw. It was a roll of the dice that landed me that kill mail. It doesn't define me as a person. Bios are interesting. The idea of a biography is a way to personalize your account. You can learn a lot about a person by what they choose to put in their bio

Taboo Questions

Let us talk contentious things. What about high sec? When will CCP pay attention to high sec and those that cannot spend their time in dangerous space?  This is somewhat how the day started, sparked by a question from an anonymous poster. Speaking about high sec, in general, is one of the hardest things to do. The amount of emotion wrapped around the topic is staggering. There are people who want to stay in high sec and nothing will make them leave. There are people who want no one to stay in high sec and wish to cripple everything about it. There are people in between, but the two extremes are large and emotional in discussion. My belief is simple. If a player wishes to live in high sec, I do not believe that anything will make them leave that is not their own curiosity. I do not believe that we can beat people out of high sec or destroy it until they go to other areas of space. Sometimes, I think we forget that every player has the option to not log back in. We want them to log

And back again

My very slow wormhole adventure continues almost as slowly as I am terminating my island in Animal Crossing.  My class 3 wormhole was not where I wanted to be. I was looking for a class 1 or 2 wormhole. I dropped my probes and with much less confusion scanned another wormhole. I remembered to dscan and collect my probes as I warped to the wormhole. I even remembered to drop a bookmark, wormholes being such good bookmark locations later. My wormhole told me it was a route into low sec. I tilted my head. How circular do our adventures go. Today might be the day to die and that too is okay. That mantra dances in the back of my head these days. Even if someone mocks me, what does that matter? Fattening someone's killboard is their issue not mine. So I jumped through and found myself in Efa in Khanid, tucked on the edge of high sec and null sec. What an interesting little system.  Several connections to high sec. A connection to null sec. This must be quite the traffic system.    I am f
