Forging my own way

We will see how long I last. I made my own corporation. Last night, before I went to work I spent a lot of ISK and purchased a bunch of skill books for Leadership and Corporation. I then added them all to my training queue and went to work. Eve Online, for those that do not play it or have just started, is not a simple game. You don't just do things because. If you want to run a company, that is fine. How big a company you want to run is a different thing. You cannot just step in as CEO and run a company with thousands of players. You have to invest training time into it. I find it interesting. The Leadership skills are about improving the attributes and abilities of the people around you, including yourself. A fleet is a group. I picked up skills that add to my ships shields, my ships armor, and even my mining abilities. They are jumps of 2% or more. They make me mine faster and they make me mine more. 2% doesn't seem like a lot but it quickly adds up. Th

Leaving my first Corp

I've been playing for just under a month. My thirty day point is about to hit. I will be kicked out of Rookie Chat. I will miss Rookie Chat, it is a fascinating channel. I've joined the regular Help Channel instead. It is a useful thing. At this moment, I am leaving my Corp as well. Its early in the morning and my reasons for leaving are varied. I've learned a lot. I totally feel that people should join a corp quickly. Not something crazy but a group of players to get to know and learn. I've met some wonderful people that way. My new life is going to be a bit different but fortunately not lonely. I'm going to make my own corp for a bit. It is a tax shelter really. If you stay in an NPC corp you lose around 11% of what you make off of missions and bounties. Instead, I will make my own corp and give myself 5% tax rate that I can access. I hope to store it aside for the future. I have plans for the future. I am not a scammer or a thief so far in th

Missions

We have been venturing into corporation missions. These missions are not different from regular missions. They are just done on a larger group scale with a lot of cooperation between everyone. It's a time to teach new members aspects of the game and a time to learn what your focus in the game is when it comes to combat. Over the last few days, I have learned that I have a serious desire to fly down the throat of another ship and blast it in the face. Because of this, we have decided to focus my cruiser on the Gallente Thorax. I've not had much enjoyment out of my Vexor as anything but a mining ship. Why this ship? Welll... I tend to get other ones blown up. Ships are expensive and it's my mining that replaces them. Therefore, I need to (hopefully) make a proper choice. The Thorax is made to fly into the face of danger and unload at close range. This suites me well. Eve's training system means that I need to focus on something. I can, event
