I got called a troll and blocked

I wish I had started saving the conversation earlier, but I did not expect it to morph into such a dramatic reaction.

The conversation started when this person entered the chat and asked someone to give them a charity donation of 10mil isk and they would pay back 12mil isk next week.

So, being me (and the rules of the channel being no begging) I said, "That sounds more like a contract then a donation". He responded, "Either or."

So I ignored him for a bit. I was pulling loot out of low sec so I was busy. I looked back and say this:

Monarch Rotineque > I went though the past 12 years of mmo's(and I believe the last 7 with EVE on top mmo list) without even thinking about EVE, and now im absolutely hooked :D

And being me I had to ask more.

Sugar Kyle > do you beg for isk/gold/coins/whatever the first time you log onto any MMO Monarch?

Monarch Rotineque > Sugar Kyle you mad bro? how much do you honestly think you know about me? and what ive done the past 12 years within mmo's?

Sugar Kyle > Mad? I'm curious, as that I'm always interested in ways that people sucessfully make isk

Sugar Kyle > Since I asked a question, I think it states that I know *nothing* about you

Monarch Rotineque > lol, absolutely love this, bunch of overly aggressive people, who cant chill out

Monarch Rotineque > how about this super, you quit trolling and leave, as I remember E-UNI requirements specifically stating that -sec status is not tolerated, and im pretty sure -2.4 isnt positive

Sugar Kyle > /emote scratches her head

Sugar Kyle > But I'm not applying to join the uni, Monarch (in all reality I was ROFL over this. The rules are for joining and not sitting in chat. Plus, I had someone ask me why I didn't apply to join because they seem to like me. I'm amazing :P)

Aldeb Haraz > did you kill monarch or somethiing sugar?

Sugar Kyle > /emote is a troll now? :(

Akirei Scytale > monarch, quite a few of us in this channel ahve absolutely no intention of joining EUNI

Sugar Kyle > No :(

Monarch Rotineque > than I take it your coming here to pick on random people?

Sugar Kyle > I'm a troll thou Aldeb, and no one told me

Sugar Kyle > Now I'm picking on you?

Sugar Kyle > /emote sits down to debate this

Aldeb Haraz > I'm scrolling up

Jaedyn Toralen > Don't feed the trolls please

Aldeb Haraz > and reading this dudes comments

Project232 > /emote thinks about popcorn

Aldeb Haraz > seems pretty mad

Sugar Kyle > omg, you have cheese for it Project?

Sugar Kyle > /emote would like some if so, pls?

Monarch Rotineque > There we go, all better, wonderful "block" button

And poof. I started to laugh at that point.

Comments

  1. You know, I never quite understood the urge to tell someone you're "blocking" them.

Then again, I always get paranoid about what blocked people could say about me behind my back, so I'm never blocking people. Well that one time as a joke, but that's another story.

Maybe one day!

It was a random question that I knew the answer of. I have 'Sugar' as a keyword so it highlights green and catches my attention. This made me chuckle. Maybe I'll have to go and see what it is like to shoot a ship one day? I could not help but smile. Basi suggested that I put my Titan killmail in my bio and assert my badassery. I figure, naw. It was a roll of the dice that landed me that kill mail. It doesn't define me as a person. Bios are interesting. The idea of a biography is a way to personalize your account. You can learn a lot about a person by what they choose to put in their bio

Taboo Questions

Let us talk contentious things. What about high sec? When will CCP pay attention to high sec and those that cannot spend their time in dangerous space?  This is somewhat how the day started, sparked by a question from an anonymous poster. Speaking about high sec, in general, is one of the hardest things to do. The amount of emotion wrapped around the topic is staggering. There are people who want to stay in high sec and nothing will make them leave. There are people who want no one to stay in high sec and wish to cripple everything about it. There are people in between, but the two extremes are large and emotional in discussion. My belief is simple. If a player wishes to live in high sec, I do not believe that anything will make them leave that is not their own curiosity. I do not believe that we can beat people out of high sec or destroy it until they go to other areas of space. Sometimes, I think we forget that every player has the option to not log back in. We want them to log

Conflicted

Halycon said it quite well in a comment he left about the skill point trading proposal for skill point changes. He is conflicted in many different ways. So am I. Somedays, I don't want to be open minded. I do not want to see other points of view. I want to not like things and not feel good about them and it be okay. That is something that is denied me for now. I've stated my opinion about the first round of proposals to trade skills. I don't like them. That isn't good enough. I have to answer why. Others do not like it as well. I cannot escape over to their side and be unhappy with them. I am dragged away and challenged about my distaste.  Some of the people I like most think the change is good. Other's think it has little meaning. They want to know why I don't like it. When this was proposed at the CSM summit, I swiveled my chair and asked if they realized that they were undoing the basic structure that characters and game progression worked under. They said th
