Back to Cleaning

I stalled out on my moving efforts. Kind of like unloading your moving van only to realize you have to put it all away and going to lay down instead. I'm partially moved and I'm probably moved well enough to get things started but I had decided to get myself moved fully.

But, I'm tired of writing contracts. I'm also tired of hauling things. I've developed this deep paranoia of being ganked in my freighter. I'm so damn helpless in the thing. I've also been waiting to get hit by inspiration for what I want to do. My backup plan is to spend some time grinding missions. It is something that I have never done so I'm somewhat fascinated by what it will be like.

As for my freighter, if I lost it I'd just get another one. I don't over stuff it and none of the items I've been moving are of great value. I'm not moving through any of the common ganking chokepoints. My freighter pilot is in a NPC corp. Yet, I twitch and my heart rate increases when something red or yellow or Machariel colored lands on grid with me.

At this stage of liquidation, I'm past the simple things and moving onto piles of stuff. Do I want to keep them? Liquidate them? Move them? For now, I've shoved TCS into a container in the corner to deal with later.  My personal stuff has become a weird assortment and tonight I found myself staring at my pirate frigates.

I've had a Daredevil and a Dramiel for a long time. I find the Dramiel to be quite attractive. I have no idea what happened between the Dramiel and the Machariel to make the Cynabal so weird looking. The ugly stick must skip sizes in some pirate factions. Anyway, I've never really flown them for as long as I've owned them. I never felt ready to fly a pirate frigate or good enough to do so because when you lose them someone comments on how much they cost.

So, hangar ornaments only without a story or background. I decided that I'd toss them into the liquidation pile as well. I don't have anything against them. I just don't think they are worth my flying them at the present. That is calculated by my worth which is mostly defined by interest.

The fun part about liquidation is that I've never had so much liquid ISK in the wallet. I do like that feeling.

  1. Pirate ships are more about fun and the "wow" factor they can bring to small gang warfare, in my opinion. I always find myself wanting to skewer the corpses of vanquished enemies on the front end of my Dramiel... the Cruor looks like a smiling dork-fish and the Cynabal reminds me of a flying salamander stuffed into a wingsuit... They're worth keeping if you accept the fact that they're born to die. Give them the death they deserve!!

  2. Mish grind can be wonderfully self-indulgent. So many options with your own preferences as sole guide.

Choices start at mission types . . .

    Mining:
I have no experience so I won’t pontificate.

    Distribution:
Practically AKF autopolitable in Hi-sec. Use a blockade runner . . . fast as hell and cargo scan immunity keeps what you’re up to a mystery. If you prefer paying attention accept Low-sec missions. Same blockade runner allows cloaking.

    Security:
    Options abound . . .
Blood on the keyboard multibox or solo character login? Both approaches with innumerable variations in between work quite well. I often off grid boost which is technically multiboxing but blood free and astoundingly leisurely.

Blitz or murder everything? I murder everything. I’m already there and just as well be thorough.

Specialize your boats or massage up a capable omnimission generalist? I generalize . . . specialization strikes me too technical for the simple holiday festivities I pursue.

Loot . . . Ignore? Cherry pick? Hoover up everything? I Hoover. Again I’m already there and it’s not like I have anything else planned.

All the while you’ll want to pay attention to standings to avoid digging deep ‘So & So really hates you now’ holes that can be unpleasant to dig out of.

All and all a surprisingly robust area of game play to explore. Dabble about. Snap a few pictures. Find your groove.

  3. Mining mission require at L4 all of the disciplines: ore, gas and ice.

The annoying missions are Drones to a Cloud. Because the venture lacks sufficient defence/offence to fend off the spawning waves of drones. And Feeding the Giant, which has logistical of operating in a neighbouring system.

L4 ore missions need 45,000m3 harvested - which is two retrievers or a return trip in an industrial to collect jet cans. Ice missions are 20,000 of ice. One of the ice missions has a drone spawn which should be destroyed.

Rats will spawn from time to time, similar to the asteroid belt quality.

Most of the LP is subpar compared the offering from NPC which offfer combat missions however. (With the notable Quafe, CreoDron and Thukker being exemptions). Sadly the potentional best NPC, Outer Ring Exacvations is only available in null, in through traffic system - I doubt that anybody ever runs these agents.

  4. Many of the person search amazon gift card codes on internet but they didn't get. Some few get but that codes are used so that is not useful for us.

Maybe one day!

It was a random question that I knew the answer of. I have 'Sugar' as a keyword so it highlights green and catches my attention. This made me chuckle. Maybe I'll have to go and see what it is like to shoot a ship one day? I could not help but smile. Basi suggested that I put my Titan killmail in my bio and assert my badassery. I figure, naw. It was a roll of the dice that landed me that kill mail. It doesn't define me as a person. Bios are interesting. The idea of a biography is a way to personalize your account. You can learn a lot about a person by what they choose to put in their bio

Taboo Questions

Let us talk contentious things. What about high sec? When will CCP pay attention to high sec and those that cannot spend their time in dangerous space?  This is somewhat how the day started, sparked by a question from an anonymous poster. Speaking about high sec, in general, is one of the hardest things to do. The amount of emotion wrapped around the topic is staggering. There are people who want to stay in high sec and nothing will make them leave. There are people who want no one to stay in high sec and wish to cripple everything about it. There are people in between, but the two extremes are large and emotional in discussion. My belief is simple. If a player wishes to live in high sec, I do not believe that anything will make them leave that is not their own curiosity. I do not believe that we can beat people out of high sec or destroy it until they go to other areas of space. Sometimes, I think we forget that every player has the option to not log back in. We want them to log

And back again

My very slow wormhole adventure continues almost as slowly as I am terminating my island in Animal Crossing.  My class 3 wormhole was not where I wanted to be. I was looking for a class 1 or 2 wormhole. I dropped my probes and with much less confusion scanned another wormhole. I remembered to dscan and collect my probes as I warped to the wormhole. I even remembered to drop a bookmark, wormholes being such good bookmark locations later. My wormhole told me it was a route into low sec. I tilted my head. How circular do our adventures go. Today might be the day to die and that too is okay. That mantra dances in the back of my head these days. Even if someone mocks me, what does that matter? Fattening someone's killboard is their issue not mine. So I jumped through and found myself in Efa in Khanid, tucked on the edge of high sec and null sec. What an interesting little system.  Several connections to high sec. A connection to null sec. This must be quite the traffic system.    I am f
