Cosplay

I've been taking some easy, Eve days and I am glad that I have. CSMX got the CCP/CSM channel sorted out the other day and there has been a lot of chatter. I've been very caught up and distracted.

In the meantime!

We were given our prizes from the cosplay contest at Fanfest today. I now have a bunch of clothing on Sugar including a maroon set of tshirts that don't appear on the market. I noticed that woman's clothing and men's clothing sell for different prices. The woman's clothing tends to be more expensive. I find that amusing.

I enjoyed making my jacket and my little outfit. I'd like to do so again if I go to Fanfest next year. I've also Eve Vegas to think of. That is if there is a cosplay portion. It'd be fun if there was. It'd fit in in Vegas. I was so nervous walking through Reykjavik in my Minmatar jacket with my heavy makeup on and my braids. In Vegas, I'd not stand out. Not when a black Batman rides by on a bicycle and Chewbacca is talking to Bumblebee under the neon sign for a casino.

I need a sewing machine. I am not the greatest seamstress but I can put basics together. I'd love to learn embroidery as well but that may be stretching things a bit. I have to think about it.

  1. So Eve clothing for women is more expensive than men? So art really does imitate life after all.

    1. Well on the open market at least. I didn't check the NEX store. I just found it interesting the price difference was often like 100 mil between the woman's pants and the mens.

    2. It probably has something to do with men being men, so there is higher demand on women's clothing because of all those men playing with their dolls eh I mean "action figures".

(CCP apparently thinks the same, the AURUM-prices for women's attire in the NEX store are often higher than for their male counterparts.)

  2. I'm currently green with jealousy.

  3. You know what I want and do not for the life of me understand why CCP does not offer?

The clothes we wear in game for sale IRL. The T-shirts our toons wear... shirts and uniforms... the coats and jackets... offer them in nylon, pleather and in actual leather and I bet they'd sell... hell I'd buy the jacket Tur wears in a heartbeat and I'd pay for real leather too.

    1. Agreed. We've been pushing for that. Musterbrand decided that t-shirts should cost sixty dollars. I have no idea what was up with them. They have a clearance sale atm so hopefully their contract with CCP is ending and we can get some good stuff. Simpler stuff.

  4. That's really cool. Is there a list of the in-game clothing prizes handed out anywhere?

Maybe one day!

It was a random question that I knew the answer of. I have 'Sugar' as a keyword so it highlights green and catches my attention. This made me chuckle. Maybe I'll have to go and see what it is like to shoot a ship one day? I could not help but smile. Basi suggested that I put my Titan killmail in my bio and assert my badassery. I figure, naw. It was a roll of the dice that landed me that kill mail. It doesn't define me as a person. Bios are interesting. The idea of a biography is a way to personalize your account. You can learn a lot about a person by what they choose to put in their bio

Taboo Questions

Let us talk contentious things. What about high sec? When will CCP pay attention to high sec and those that cannot spend their time in dangerous space?  This is somewhat how the day started, sparked by a question from an anonymous poster. Speaking about high sec, in general, is one of the hardest things to do. The amount of emotion wrapped around the topic is staggering. There are people who want to stay in high sec and nothing will make them leave. There are people who want no one to stay in high sec and wish to cripple everything about it. There are people in between, but the two extremes are large and emotional in discussion. My belief is simple. If a player wishes to live in high sec, I do not believe that anything will make them leave that is not their own curiosity. I do not believe that we can beat people out of high sec or destroy it until they go to other areas of space. Sometimes, I think we forget that every player has the option to not log back in. We want them to log

Conflicted

Halycon said it quite well in a comment he left about the skill point trading proposal for skill point changes. He is conflicted in many different ways. So am I. Somedays, I don't want to be open minded. I do not want to see other points of view. I want to not like things and not feel good about them and it be okay. That is something that is denied me for now. I've stated my opinion about the first round of proposals to trade skills. I don't like them. That isn't good enough. I have to answer why. Others do not like it as well. I cannot escape over to their side and be unhappy with them. I am dragged away and challenged about my distaste.  Some of the people I like most think the change is good. Other's think it has little meaning. They want to know why I don't like it. When this was proposed at the CSM summit, I swiveled my chair and asked if they realized that they were undoing the basic structure that characters and game progression worked under. They said th
