Rawrcat Doctrine

I figure it is only fair to have a normal non-pensive post when I write a wall of pensive text. :)

My RawrCat Fleet Doctrine will take to the skies on May 18th, (which is a Saturday) at some time I don't quite know yet but I'm trying to time zone it so that my Australian corpmates can join in.

I have 20 Jaguars and 5 Scythes sitting in my hangar that I will start fitting. Outside of that it is BYOS (bring your own ship). Although, wolves will be killed before the fleet leaves the system if any decide to show up. My goal is a glorious wave of Jaguar's taking off into the night but I know that someone will want to bring something else and someone will want to bring this and someone else will tell me that Jaguar's suck and no one should fly them because they used to be different in some time before I even started to play.

This isn't that kind of fleet. This is a fleet that will give death by a thousand scratches. I want to swarm things. I want to clash it into other swarms if they are found. Of course, I'm not the FC but I want Epic Frigate Night.

Anyway, if people who are not in corp/blue want to join and need special things (T1 guns) tell me ahead of time. I'm pretty friendly I think? If you just want to bring your own thing (not a wolf) that is fine to. I guess someone needs to be bait ('cept wolves die).

Of course, this isn't as serious as I pretend it to be. I just want a big fleet and lots of fun. Lots of fun does not mean stupidity or welping. Don't confuse the two. Hopefully I will run out of ships and people will be forced to fend for themselves. That would be amazing.

  2. Sadly I could only bring an incursus D; assault frigs are still 13 days away, not counting getting assault ships to a decent level.

    2. Incursus can be a mean little bastard. Ions/neutrons depending on skills. Dual rep, eanm, dcu. AB,scram, cap injector/400 navy charges. 2nano pumps 1nanobot accel rig. I have fought destroyers, cruisers and bc . Just watch your reps and overheat. Dont forget the paste!

    3. I agree.

However we are in a fleet Jag fleet. Tyro is still working on core skills. Therefore I want him in a ship that has the agility he needs. Playing ranged ewar games is a new skill he can practice.

My goal in this case is to maximize Tyro's abilities in *this* fleet to skill points considering the fleet is an shield T2 based fleet.

    4. Maulus, sensor damping with scan res scripts at range?

    5. Aye. Something like that. I need to check what he might have to train to get into a basic one. I don't feel that a combat T1 frigate will leave him happy next to the Jags.

      Also damps are boss.

  3. I must say I was terribly disappointed when I realized I can't join this one due to IRL commitments. I hope it will be a huge success and then I'll be able to join in on a future one.

Maybe one day!

It was a random question that I knew the answer of. I have 'Sugar' as a keyword so it highlights green and catches my attention. This made me chuckle. Maybe I'll have to go and see what it is like to shoot a ship one day? I could not help but smile. Basi suggested that I put my Titan killmail in my bio and assert my badassery. I figure, naw. It was a roll of the dice that landed me that kill mail. It doesn't define me as a person. Bios are interesting. The idea of a biography is a way to personalize your account. You can learn a lot about a person by what they choose to put in their bio

Taboo Questions

Let us talk contentious things. What about high sec? When will CCP pay attention to high sec and those that cannot spend their time in dangerous space?  This is somewhat how the day started, sparked by a question from an anonymous poster. Speaking about high sec, in general, is one of the hardest things to do. The amount of emotion wrapped around the topic is staggering. There are people who want to stay in high sec and nothing will make them leave. There are people who want no one to stay in high sec and wish to cripple everything about it. There are people in between, but the two extremes are large and emotional in discussion. My belief is simple. If a player wishes to live in high sec, I do not believe that anything will make them leave that is not their own curiosity. I do not believe that we can beat people out of high sec or destroy it until they go to other areas of space. Sometimes, I think we forget that every player has the option to not log back in. We want them to log

And back again

My very slow wormhole adventure continues almost as slowly as I am terminating my island in Animal Crossing.  My class 3 wormhole was not where I wanted to be. I was looking for a class 1 or 2 wormhole. I dropped my probes and with much less confusion scanned another wormhole. I remembered to dscan and collect my probes as I warped to the wormhole. I even remembered to drop a bookmark, wormholes being such good bookmark locations later. My wormhole told me it was a route into low sec. I tilted my head. How circular do our adventures go. Today might be the day to die and that too is okay. That mantra dances in the back of my head these days. Even if someone mocks me, what does that matter? Fattening someone's killboard is their issue not mine. So I jumped through and found myself in Efa in Khanid, tucked on the edge of high sec and null sec. What an interesting little system.  Several connections to high sec. A connection to null sec. This must be quite the traffic system.    I am f
